If someone would have told me three years ago that I would have my business profile out there on Facebook, or Twitter, or any other social networking site, I would have laughed and said “No way, bro!”
But, now I have to face it…social networking has become the new “norm” as the way we communicate and connect.
Recent trends within financial advisory firms have shown that more advisors are using their LinkedIn account to connect with peers and grow their business than any other social media site. Advantages include plenty of resources to gather client leads and do so with privacy. LinkedIn allows users to search for firms and personal connections based on zip codes.
According to OnWallStreet’s report by Donna Mitchell on April 26, other social media networking tools proving useful for financial advisors include Facebook, Twitter, and Google+.
