What You Need to Succeed
Are you ready to take your successful sales skills and turn them into a satisfying long-term career in a respected industry?
Willis Consulting can help you and guide you in the right direction BUT there are certain things you need to possess before even considering a profession in Financial Planning.
1) A Respected Referral Source
2) A Successful Academic History – BA or better – Your major is not a deciding factor
3) A Proven Sales History – including prospecting, closing, and servicing relationships
4) A Burning Desire to Succeed – ready to do whatever it takes to overcome any obstacle
If you possess the preceding four qualifications you will be considered by top financial planning firms BUT you will have to pass a series of screening exams before any top firm will commit to an interview.
Keep in mind that if you make it through the interview process you will need to pass certain licensing exams in order to work in the industry and be admitted to any firms’ financial training program.
And then the work begins!
Keep in mind #4 above. If you honestly want to secure a great position in the Financial Planning Industry you will have to work hard and sacrifice a lot to get there.
